Project Myth
Run By Morgan J. Manns & Anne J. Hill
Theme: Mermaids and other mythological water creatures! We are looking for middle grade stories that will inspire children to be brave, honest, and stand up for what is right. We are hoping to get a good deal of mermaid/siren representation in this book, so while you do not need a mermaid at your focal point, having one in your story may help your chances of acceptance. Other mythological sea/water creatures you could use would be kraken, Loch Ness Monster, sea dragons/serpants, aspidochelone (giant turtle), to name a few ideas, or your own made-up mythological sea creature (just make sure the creature is a myth in your world.) We are looking for good quality stories. Please avoid cheapening your prose or dumbing down stories for children. Kids thrive off of well written stories. And chances are, there will be plenty of adults reading this book too. Let's give them a masterpiece!
